Think ActiveRain, Trulia Voices, Zillow Discussions but then take out the broad nature of those sites and you have MyRealPlace.com. MyRealPlace.com is a “complete realty resource for buyers, sellers, investors and realty professionals” specifically targeting the lower mainland of British Columbia. I met with co-founder Jonathan Lyon yesterday and discussed his new business. They are quite new (June 07) and seem to have quite a few users. Take a moment to check out their site and let me know what you think – just add comments to this post. Maybe having a real estate community website super focused on a specific area is the future.

This is just an all-around great idea, and one that I think was a long-time coming for the Vancouver (and indeed the Canadian) market.
The best part is, “buyers and sellers” get access to all listings, plus the considerable knowledge base of all of the Realtors that have joined the site. (All are listed, some have already published content, blog posts, Q&As, etc)
Try it out- create and account and either start a property search, ask or answer a question. Or if you like, find my profile and message me. I promise to respond 🙂
