Are you writing good quality blog posts in your website?
Would you like to learn how to drive more traffic to your website using these blog posts?

You can start by adding a link to your blog post and a summary of your article to websites like reddit.com and digg.com. Both are massive social news websites where the web site’s community “votes” for your article. The more people that vote for your article the higher up your post will rise on their website which will increase the traffic to your website. Give it a try. Write a quality blog post and then submit it to digg.com or reddit.com. Then watch your stats program to see the traffic spikes.

The real estate version of digg.com and reddit.com is realestatevoices.com. I wrote about their website a few months ago and it is definitely becoming a force within the online real estate world. Add your articles here as well. As it takes only a few moments to do it, but the exposure that your website can gain is outstanding.real estate voices

Niki Scevak, the founder of realestatevoice.com has kindly included me in their “community leaders” section of their home page. A small list of great bloggers are included in the community leaders section and I feel privileged to be added to the list.

Need some ideas to write about? Here are some of our agents most recent posts:
John Jennings gives an update of the real estate market on the North Shore
Joel Carcone writes about his participation in the negotiations course at Capilano College
Jim Duncan gives a little description of his new listing in Charlottesville as it is “secluded yet close to everything” Steve Church talks more about the WhatcomOpenHouses.com website that is new to the Bellingham area
Marty Pospischil shows pictures from his first annual client skating party (watch the slide show and you will see me) 🙂
Kris Berg updates us on the San Diego real estate market

UPDATE———————————————-
I just saw this on Athol Kay’s blog (who is not a client of ours – yet) but it shows some great results using the above websites:

Thanks to Ubertor

Just a quick shout out for Ubertor Real Estate Blog’s idea of submitting posts to Reddit.com. I have tried sumbitting to Digg and Real Estate Voices (and still will of course) but my Google vs NAR post on Reddit just went crazy.

My entire monthly readership DOUBLED yesterday with about 90% of all traffic coming from Reddit.com. In part it’s so dramatic because I’m still a new blog, but even so, very noticeable upswing in readership.

Thanks.

reddit.com and digg.com are definitely a way to skyrocket your blog. I just finished skimming through a book titled “Blog Wild!” by Andy Wibbels and now I will be going back through and studying to incorporate it into my blog. He wrote about both reddit.com and digg.com. I am always recommending realestatevoices.com to my real estate agent clients…it is chalkful of great information that is current and useful. Great job Steve!

Other websites that are worth checking out are “blog search engines” such as http://icerocket.com , http://clusty.com , http://blogpulse.com , and http://technorati.com

    Great Post!

Hi Stephen, I continue to read your blog with much interest. Not only do you come up with new ideas but you also have reference sources and links for us to follow up with. I have a keen interest in the subject of blogging, blogging content and the value it adds to search engine results. I have looked at many of the sites you have identified in detail. I find it very interesting how proffessionally put together these sites are. I also notice their google ranking (averages around a four for the home page). I have also followed their blogging history and find that they don’t seem to blog any more than I do, however I rank between a zero and a one. I am wondering if they are paying for the SEO ($995 / year) combined with blogging takes the rating higher. I also wonder if there are newer versions of the ubertor website that gives these websites the more professional look and feel.

I eagerly anticipate your reply. Sincerely, Adam

    Hi Adam,
We have a handful of SEO clients. Most of our clients are not on an SEO plan with us they just follow the suggestions or guidelines that we provide. There are many things that go into your Google Page Rank.
    – age of domain name
    – how far into the future it is registered
    – content
    – freshness of content
    – inbound links

    to name a few….

As for our sites. All of our sites run on the Ubertor software. Some have more functionality that others, but all functionality is available to all clients. Some features have fees attached to them, some features are only available to agents from specific boards.

    Hope that helps.

Also the Google Pank Rank doesn’t “get assessed” by Google except every 3 months or so. Your lower page rank may simply be waiting for the next round of assessments.

    O M G !

Thank you so much for the reddit suggestion. I’ve posted a couple of articles there in the last 24 hours. Two I think just got a ho-hum reaction, but the third seems to be pulling reddit peeps in like a freight train.

A successful plan to drive traffic will encompass many different angles. If you are planning to drive traffic to a business related site, remember that it will take time.
