The overwhelming response to our recent feature release of video syndication within the Ubertor system has been outstanding. Tonight, I’m pleased to announce that we have added Viddler.com as one of our syndication partners. Now when you load a video into your Ubertor control panel you can automatically syndicate it to YouTube, Vimeo and Viddler.

I can see the merits of Video blogging and video introductions/presentations on a website as a way for clients to familiarize themselves with an agent, or to learn something that the probably wouldn’t have taken the time to read. However, isn’t one of the key benefits of blogging the addition of rich, focused content to our websites for Google to crawl? As far as I know, Google crawlers aren’t pulling keywords out of video blogs. Is this a worthwhile concern?

@ Tyler – Video is getting indexed better by Google every day. It is not perfect, but getting better. You can see YouTube results showing up all through the web. Google does read the tags, video title, video description and some text within it. But there is more to think about that just SEO results. Video allows views to see your passion, hear your thoughts, see you in real life. Plus they can embed and share your videos all over the internet. I would suggest checking this out – http://www.reachd.com/training/video – as it will give you a great idea of how online video works and its benefits.
Video is the future of the internet.

High rankings are not the same as high conversions. If a website owners only focus is “rank me high in the search engines” then they are stopping short of the website’s ultimate purpose.
1. High Rankings
2. Increased traffic
3. Increased leads, customers, conversions
Video can be a great addition to lead to the third item. One lawyer I read about saw a dramatic increase in conversions by adding video to his site. It was a simple rough video. After the posting the video to his site people would call his office and ask for “Anthony” rather than “Mr. Jones”
The relationship building factor that video adds is Huge.
If you do things right with your video blog, you won’t rely exclusively on google for your traffic. People will be talking about you at the dinner table and those kind of visits will be better than the ones that google sends you.
Just my thoughts anyone else want to weigh in?
