Last week Michael Stephenson and I attended a workshop with Google Adwords expert Perry Marshall in Chicago IL. It was an excellent workshop that covered lots of Google Adwords information. One thing that I really enjoyed was how Perry always had a little surprise around the corner. He never gave us a clue or a hint that things were planned for us. As an example, everyone from the group was from out of town, so the first day at the workshop Perry asked us which we wanted to see Wicked or Blue Man Group. We choose Wiked the Musical and went out on the town in downtown Chicago. It was an excellent touch. The next day, we were having lunch and a lady arrived in the room with a sitting massage chair. Each of us received a 10 minute massage from her. Again, totally unexpected and really made for a great workshop. Those little touches really make a difference.
Costco does this as well. You know how sometimes your walking through a Costco only to find a product that you don’t normally see there with a great price on it. Usually this product is not found at other Costco’s and will be gone as quickly as you found it. This little touch is why shopping at Costco is so great. The little surprise that you were not expecting.
What can you do as a Realtor to have people talking about you? What little extra can you add? Here are 3 thoughts:
– Valet Parking at that high end condo that you are holding an open house for this weekend
– A Car Service waiting at the airport for that out of town buyer that is coming in to view properties
– Create a VIP group for your VIP clients. Have an annual dinner/party so that they can meet your other VIP clients.
