I have not see a billboard promoting a condo development in another city in a long time. Walking my dog this morning I noticed this billboard and took a quick picture. It is pushing a condo development in Reno, Nevada. It made me think:
Is this a sign that the real estate market is officially changing?
Are they advertising in Vancouver because condo projects still (pre) sell out in one day?
I wonder which cities they placed these billboards in? how did they pick?

Wow! I’m honored to make your blog site! We chose this location because we found
many of our buyers come from Vancouver! Who knows, if for some reason
we see a group from buying from Thailand, I suppose that’s where we’ll be next.

The reason they advertise in far-away cities is the Grand Sierra condo-hotels are designed to be second vacation residences. You can only stay in it 28 days out of the year due to gaming laws, and the remaining time its rented as a luxury hotel suite and the owner gets part of the revenue from that. Its a concept that’s worked well in Vegas, Miami. We’ll see how it does in Reno. They are 44% sold already.
