I see that Dara has begun offering Biography writing services… now is a good time to review your Realtor Biography for the coming year. Here is what she posted in her blog:
Biographies – necessary for a realtor’s website, but so often missing!
In making sure that my clients have complete websites that accurately portray them, I have written a couple of biographies lately. The process has included an interview (could probably be done on the phone in about 30-60 minutes), and then me writing about one typewritten page in the third person. The realtor of course has the opportunity to make any suggestions/revisions they choose, and it’s then posted on their website.
My goal is to interview as if I was considering this person to be my realtor (for buying and/or selling), then writing about all the attributes that I feel give the best sense of the realtor, both professionally and personality-wise.
I think the bios have turned out very well and am considering adding it to my list of things I can offer. It’s text that can be useful over a long period of time and could be incorporated into other pages on their website. For example, a paragraph about how they work with buyers could be the main paragraph on a For Buyers page.
